RESEARCH PROBLEMS

Some problems of introduction of the research methods in high-school education are discussed. The research problems for high-school students are proposed. By solving those problems high-school students will get to know the methods of the scientific work.

SUMMER PHYSICS MATHEMATICS SCHOOL «VARNAVINO» OF THE INSTITUTE OF APPLIED PHYSICS OF RAS

Since 1988 Institute of Applied Physics of RAS organized Summer Physics Mathematics School for children (10-11 classes of high-school) who interested physics and mathematics. Now there are two sessions of this school – in June and in August. The program of the school consists of lectures, student’s seminars, sections, experimental work.

APPLICATION OF NONLINEAR DYNAMICS METHODS IN THE AUTOMATIZED CONTROL SYSTEM OF SPIRIT RECTIFICATION PROCESS

The analysis of regime parameters daily fluctuations of epuration columns is carried out, and it is proved, that observable noise-like fluctuations in the system dephlegmer – condenser have not stochastic, but the determined nature, and are caused by chaotic character of process dynamics. The system of the ether-aldehyde fractions expenditure stabilization is developed in the structure of automatic control system of ethyl spirit rectification.

GENERATION OF CHAOTIC OSCILLATIONS IN EXPERIMENTAL SCHEME OF THREE CASCADE-COUPLED PHASE SYSTEMS

Results of experimental investigation of chaotic dynamics of the ensemble of three cascade-coupled phase systems (phase-locked loops) are presented. The possibility of dynamical regimes control by means of coupling parameters changing without changing of inner parameters of elements is demonstrated. Spectral and correlation properties of different chaotic regimes are presented.

ASYMMETRICAL COUPLING INFLUENCE ON BIFURCATIONAL MECHANIZMS OF ANTIPHASE CHAOTIC SYNCHRONIZATION DESTRUCTION

The work is devoted to anti-phase controlled synchronization of chaos in diffusivelly coupled cubic maps. Influence of asymmetry of controlling feed-back coupling on mechanizms of the synchronization loss is considered. A new bifurcational scenarium which includes a sequence of transcritical and saddle-repeller bifurcation has been found.

LOCALIZATION OF FLOWS IN A HORIZONTAL LAYER SUBJECT TO RANDOMLY INHOMOGENEOUS HEATING

We study localization of thermo-convective flows in a shallow horizontal layer subject to a fixed thermal flux across the layer, and the effect of advection on the localization properties. The thermal flux applied is stationary in time and randomly inhomogeneous in space (the problem considered is 2-D; the mean flux is nearly critical). The interpretation of linear results is underpinned by numerical simulation of the original nonlinear problem.

INTERACTION OF RHYTHMS IN THE DYNAMICS OF FUNCTIONAL UNITS OF THE KIDNEY

In this paper we study the phenomena of interaction between three rhythmic components of renal autoregulation. Clear distinctions of the corresponding phenomena for almost periodic dynamics of nephrons observed in normotensive rats and irregular (chaotic) dynamics that occur in the nephrons of genetically hypertensive rats are revealed.

ON THE CRITICAL BEHAVIOR OF NON-IDENTICAL ASYMMETRICALLY COUPLED CHUA’S CIRCUITS

The complex dynamics and the peculiarities of the transition to chaos in two coupled flow systems – Chua’s circuits are investigated. It is shown that this system demonstrates more complicated behavior at the onset of chaos than the discrete maps. In particular, the codimension of the critical behavior increases in such system.

CALCULATION TECHNIQUE OF STARTING CURRENT OF MULTICAVITY KLYSTRON AUTOGENERATORS

On the base of the cascade-bunching theory the calculation technique of starting current of multicavity klystron autogenerators is presented in this paper.

STUDY OF THE EARTH’S POLE MOTION USING A MAPPING ON AN EXTERNAL FORCE PERIOD

It is known from astronomic observations that the motions of the North pole of the Earth consist of a trend to the Greenland direction, and a rotational component superimposed on the trend. The periods of 12 and about 14 months these motions. The first period is resulted from the seasonal mass redistribution in atmosphere and oceans. The second period is its called the Chandlerian and nature is vague.
