SYNCHRONIZATION IN KURAMOTO–SAKAGUCHI ENSEMBLES WITH COMPETING INFLUENCE OF COMMON NOISE AND GLOBAL COUPLING

We study the effects of synchronization and desynchronization in ensembles of phase oscillators with the global Kuramoto–Sakaguchi coupling under common noise driving. Since the mechanisms of synchronization by coupling and by common noise are essentially different, their interplay is of interest.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE TRACE SUBSTANCES ON THE NATURE OF THE BRIGGS–RAUSCHER OSCILLATING REACTION

The effect of hyperesthesia of characteristics of vibrations while adding the table salt (NaCl) as a trace substance into the reaction medium has been found for the Briggs–Rauscher oscillating reaction. The cycle of oscillations has already changed when the concentration of NaCl was 0.006 % of the total volume of the mixture.

ELECTRON STREAM STRUCTURES IN INHOMOGENEOUS SYSTEMS

Numerical modelling and detailed investigations of electron spatial stream structures induced by inhomogeneously distributed positive charge were carried out. For the random dictribution charges the resonant mechanism of electron structure formations is discussed.

DYNAMICS OF ROLL DOMAINS AND THE FORMATION OF STRUCTURES OF PARTICLES IN PARAMETRIC EXCITATION OF CAPILLARY WAVES

The proposed material is a review of the results of the study of the dynamics of roll domains of parametrically excited waves on the surface of the liquid. The processes of establishing regular wave patterns and structures from heavy particles produced by a field of standing waves are discussed from the standpoint of nonlinear dynamics.

FORMATION OF STATIONARY PATTERNS IN LATTICES OF BISTABLE ELEMENTS WITH TWO TYPES OF NONLINEARITY

Laws of pattern formation in lattices of nonlinear-coupled first-order bistable elements with two types of the element nonlinearity are studied and compared. The results are interpreted in terms of the application to edges detection in images. It is shown by the examples considered, that the replacement of the element nonlinearity does not influence significantly the image processing system functionality under certain conditions.
