Sergey P. Kuznetsov received a MS degree in Radio-Physics and Electronics (1968), a PhD degree in Radio-Physics (1977) and degree of Doctor of Science in Radio-Physics (1987) in Saratov State University. Currently he is a Head of Laboratory in Saratov Branch of Kotelnikov Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Chair of Dynamical Systems in Saratov National Research State University, Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of Nonlinear Analysis and Design of New Types of Vehicles in Udmurt State University (Izhevsk). Research interests include radio-physics and electronics, nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory. He has published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 5 monographs, 4 inventor's certificates. 12 Candidate works (PhD) have been performed under supervision of S.P. Kuznetsov. He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Physics and Control Society. On invitation of colleagues, S.P. Kuznetsov visited Berkeley University (USA), Technical University and Niels Bohr Institute (Denmark), Loughborough and Portsmouth Universities and Open university in Milton Keynes (UK), Universities in Potsdam, Oldenburg, Gottingen (Germany), Max Planck Institute of Physics of Complex Systems (Dresden, Germany), Uppsala University (Sweeden) for joint research work and lectureship. He is a winner of the state scientific grant for scientists of Russia (1994-1996), Soros Associate Professor (1998), Soros Professor (2000, 2001). Member of the Editorial Boards of Journals "Regular and Chaotic Dynamics", "Nonlinear Dynamics", "Applied Nonlinear Dynamics", "Saratov University News - New series (Physics)".
